Operating Regulations for Port of Gulluk Docking area
Dear Pilot,
During your time at the port, we would like to request that you follow regulations to take all the necessary precautions for the port, its users, the public and the environment, thank you in advance for your cooperation.
a) Accomodation ladder, should always be safe, and net spread underneath, empty lifting wires are taken, ladder lower platform should be in touching position to the dock and should be well lit in the dark.
b)A Guard should always be provided at the gangway for the safety of the vessel and its staff.
c)Dirty and oily water for any reason whatsoever should not be drained from the vessel to the port and/or the sea.
d)Bilge water, dirty ballast water, mud bottom of the bank and solid waste are not released and/or thrown into the sea.
e) Scraping and painting are not allowed in the vessel.
f)Using detergent and/or chemical cleaning items are prohibited.
g) Vessel ropes should have rat guard. Therefore rope will uncoil and any tight ropes will be realesed.
h)Manholes and hold entry will be lit up adequately during night shifts.
i)Welding and any hot operating in the ship is not allowed unless written permission from operation management and the requisite measures are taken.
j) In the event of a fire, urgent information will be given by operations management and/or pilot sitation on VHF channel 11
k) Providing adequate personel in case of emergency.
l) Pilot / 2nd pilot will be responsible of loading and discharging, In any matter, operations management should be informed. Complaints will not be taken into consideration after ships departure.
m) Operations management will be informed on taking petrol and oil, all drainholes will be closed on the deck and all preventative measures should be taken to protect the sea from waste products.
n) Within the context of ISPS the ship security officer and operations officer will work in coordination with each other.
o) Ship’s siren may only be used when manoeuvring, unless unusual circumstances happen.
p) Approaching vessels to the port should make way to leaving vessels. However, in case of any risk of accident.
r) If conditions and regulations are not complied with the ships pilot will be responsible for any damages and/or losses.
